I have been knitting and spinning for several years now after quilting for nearly twelve. I no longer do any quilting, but do machine quilt for a few friends from time to time. My first love is knitting, unless I am spinning, then I am loving spinning!
I have two spinning wheels, a Lendrum double-treadle and a Journey Wheel, which is also a double-treadle. I have a large collection of drop spindles including many Bosworth, Greensleeve and Golding spindles. I also have some Spencer spindles that spin very well and are made by the husband of one of my knitting/spinning buddies.
I have written some patterns and have found that I like to just make things up as I go and not have to keep such careful track of what I am doing, so I will have some patterns available, but they won’t be my primary feature.
I teach knitting and spinning from beginner to advanced. One of my favorite things is to see the “light go on” when someone I am teaching “gets” it. I really enjoy knowing that I may in some small way help other people learn to knit and spin since I know how much enjoyment they will have for years to come whether knitting or spinning to get their very own yarn.
